Social media
Black History Month Social Post
Objective: Create a social media graphic highlighting the accomplishments of a prominent historical black person. Use the black history month graphic designed by the head social media graphic designer as a guide for your design.

Programs used: Illustrator, Photoshop

Design concept: I used the same fonts used in the original design as well as the same design assets  and back ground texture. Text was keep to a minimum to make it easier for the viewer to read with the Booker T. Washington’s name occupying  the most space to show hierarchy.
Class Social Media Graphic Carousel
Objective: Using the new Work Force Training branding guidelines create a three graphic carousel to advertise the up coming classes on social media.

Programs used: Illustrator, Photoshop

Design Concept:  I took inspiration from the green outlined text in the WFT brand guide. On the first graphic I chose an image of a smiling woman on a computer with green computer code in her back ground. The code lets the view know right away that coding classes are being offered and the green form the code matches the other green design elements in the flyer tie it together. For the second graphic I chose an image of people training on a computer. The image has been dulled to not take away form the important text in the middle, with the graphic elements caddie corner form each-other to balance the image.  The third graphic shows multiple people working together on the same computer to communicate Bitwise Industries cooperative environment. The green code helps to balance out the green graphic elements.
National Black Business Month Social Media Posts
Objective:  Create a four piece carousel for Instagram and two piece stories graphic for Instagram stories. list the names of black owned business’ located in Bitwise Cities. Keep with brand guidelines but make it visually interesting.

Programs used: Illustrator, Photoshop

Design concept: After looking up all the business’ listed I decided to make a collage of the faces of the owners. I wanted the viewer to have a face, a person that they could associate the business names with. I didn’t want the post to be a faceless list of name that is easy to shrugg off rather then take an intrest in. The blue border serves to seperate the images and the text so that the viewer doesn’t get lost in eaither one.
Bitwise Stories Re-brand
Objective: Redesign the Bitwise Stories social media post (right image). Choose a completely new format that can be duplicated for future Bitwise stories posts.

Programs used: Illustrator, Photoshop

Design concept: I designed the new social media post to look like a letter board that you might seen in an office with an inspirational quote on it. I changed the color of the  board to be Bitwise blues. The pictures were place to look like the had been tucked into the frame. While the text has been placed on a sheet of paper pined to the board with push pins.
Right: original Bitwise Stories
Left: rebranded Bitwise Stories
Retro-Fiets Instagram Social Media Post
Objective: Pick a company real or imagined and design its’ social media landing page, including a nine post grid. Keep all post on brand. Instagram elements should reflect branding.

Programs used: Illustrator, Photoshop

Design concept: The idea was to create social media graphics for the kind of posts that an electric conversion bike company would post. Three of the post are testimonial for clients that have had their bikes converted to e-bikes. Three of the post are sale advertisement. And the remaining three  are for community awareness. Brand and bike related  icons are used for the story icons to keep with brand guide lines and make it easy for potential customers to navigate the Instagram page.
